Careful Measurement Taking

is the Key

Take an "Easy" measurement

Don't Pull the Tape Tightly, but let it lay "easy" right around your body.

Take each measurement two or three times to cross reference. Don't worry, it will come out a little different each time....but you will be able to estimate the correct measurement.

Height

I will need your height

Bust, Waist, Hips

Take Bust, Waist and Hip Measurements at the widest part of your body

Center Back to Waist

For the Back neck to Waist measurement, this is a very important measurement. To make it accurate, put on a slinky, and a small belt. Measure from the neck seam of the slinky, (The seam will be resting across the large bone at the base of your neck) to the belt, where it sits exactly on your waist.

Cross Shoulder

Measure the Cross Shoulder from shoulder bone to shoulder bone.

Next measure the Cross Shoulder by Choosing a Jacket of your own that you Like, and measure the Jacket from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Jacket Length

Measure the length from a jacket of your own that you like, and then adjust it if you need to

Sleeve Length

Measure the sleeve length from your shoulder, to where you would like the sleeve to finish on your hand. For a riding jacket it will be shorter than a showmanship jacket. For showmanship, it will extend down to just above the knuckles, as when you bend your arm it will slide up.

Next measure the sleeve length from a jacket of your own, first from the shoulder seam, and then from the center back
